Quick answers

Questions women ask us

Is PMS "all in my head"?
No. PMS is real and well documented. It's linked to the normal rise and fall of hormones after ovulation, and to how your brain responds to those changes. Your symptoms are real.
When does PMS usually start?
Usually 1 to 2 weeks before your period, during what's called the luteal phase. Symptoms usually ease within a few days after bleeding starts.
Is there anything that really helps?
Yes. Regular exercise, calcium, cutting back on salt, caffeine and alcohol, heat for cramps, and over-the-counter pain relievers all have good evidence. Read our product guide and our wellness page.

Where our information comes from

Honest about what we are

WePMS is not currently working with any doctors or OB-GYNs. Everything here is gathered from trusted public sources online, such as medical groups, health agencies, patient charities and published research, then presented clearly and kindly. We hope more and more doctors will join us over time and add their expertise.
